Welcome to the Curriculum Center for SVPA.
Each parent- teacher at SVPA chooses a Christian based ’curriculum’ or a ‘combination of curriculum’
of his or her choice, subject to SVPA approval. The curriculum should be chosen to fit the student's learning style
and the teacher's teaching style.
Parent-teachers educating
their children at home soon discover that the curriculum you choose will become 'a teacher's best friend' or
a 'teacher's worst nightmare'! This is particularly true for 'first-time' parent-teacher educators.
While there are hundreds of curriculum to choose from that meet SVPA
requirements, we have taken the liberty to list a few of our teacher's favorites...especially for those of you who
are new to home education through our Satellite School Program.
A.C.E. Accelerated Christian Education
Since 1970 Accelerated Christian Education has published individualized curriculum and provided training
in its implementation for grades K-12. Students are tested diagnostically upon entering schools or home schools using the
program. Students are then placed in the curriculum in each subject at their own performance levels determined by the results
of the diagnostic tests. Students move independently through the curriculum under the supervision of instructors who
provide tutoring at the optimum moment of learning.
