Picture here are Kacey McDaniel & Taylor Bryant winning second place at the Sequatchie County Fair Talent Show...performing one of the most difficult of all the swing moves the 'Dip Flip'! Kacey and Taylor are only two of the talented Swing Kids that are part of the SVPA Swing Dance Team.  The Swing Dance Team started the school year of 2002/2003.   Eight year old Swing Dance Team students Bryce Young and Maddy Denmark won the Best of Show with their Chattanooga Choo-Choo swing dance routine.  Swing Dancing is truly fun for all ages...K - Adult!  (O.K. ... maybe the adults don't want to 'flip' but they can do everything else!)  Last years swing classes were a blast!  The Swing Dance Team (approx. 20 students) performed at the Valentine Ball.  A few of the older dance team students even danced on stage at the Tivoli during the Chattanooga Symphony - Big Band Fever Night.   

 

This year's classes will be starting up again on January 8th.  Thanks to Gina Phillips the dance team will have music to dance to that is Christian Swing .  We will perform again at the SVPA Family Valentine Ball on Valentine's Day...and who knows...maybe a few other places too!
